Press reports in London say Bridge Information Systems is backing away, despite its initial bid of $500 million or so, at the time the highest. Quoting "industry sources," a report in the London Financial News appears to underscore what we were saying last week: namely, that the Cantor question may present simply too much hassle for Bridge, which has seen its fair share of upheaval over the past year or so.
