The trend towards pure technology outsourcing is well established, but in the morning session titled "Delivery! Where and When to Outsource," panelists outlined areas where firms can—and cannot—afford to release control of some areas.
More commoditized services such as data cleansing and the underlying technology provision can be easily outsourced, as could data structuring processes, the panelists agree.
However, firms appear less likely to outsource areas of competitive advantage or negotiation
