Amex Readies Level 2 Feed, Uses FAST

The feed will provide data at all price levels on all symbols listed on the Amex book for the first time, and will be of particular importance to algorithmic trading operations, says Anthony Verriello, vice president of product development at the exchange.

"We feel it is a valuable service for our member firms," Verriello says. "It gives traders a picture of where liquidity lies at each price point, and the depth of our market so that they can place orders more intelligently."

However, he says,

Only users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
