Liquidnet Polices Members with CEP

The broker, which allows buy-side firms to anonymously execute large block trades with minimal market impact, implemented Coral8 last fall, and has since used the engine to build and deploy applications for detecting complex patterns of events in real time that could indicate market manipulation, and for producing real-time best-execution metrics for clients, by comparing executions on the Liquidnet platform against data from vendors and exchanges, officials say.

A Liquidnet spokesperson says
