Mob Index Shows 'Smart' Flows

Rob Wallos, creator of the index, says that information on actual trading by the "mob" of institutional investors provides more meaningful context than end-of-day index prices alone.

"Investors really need indexes that cut across countries and asset classes, and standardize and simplify them to a basic level," Wallos says. "Volume tells you the 'emotional' state of the market that is driving changes in price... and is probably as important as price movements themselves."
