OMX Prepares OTC Reporting Utility
The service, which will go live in November to coincide with the implementation of MiFID, will allow user firms to take advantage of regulatory changes that permit OTC trade reporting in exchange-listed securities via venues other than their domestic exchange. "Currently, there is a legal requirement for members to report trades made outside the exchange in instruments that are traded at the exchange. This will be changed as a consequence of MiFID," says Kristina Gahne, project manager at OMX.
