Reuters’ revenue results for the first quarter this year did nothing to appease shareholders as they fell 10 percent with the vendor warning that the situation could get worse for the rest of the year.
In last Wednesday’s earnings call, Reuters said core revenue, excluding its ECN subsidiary Instinet, declined 10 percent on an underlying basis to £670 million largely due to the weak market and redundancies at institutions, which meant more cancellations.
