Pat Tierney, Thomson Financial’s president and chief executive officer, painted a dismal macro picture for the market data industry last week at an investor conference for analysts and portfolio managers. The company unveiled its latest product, Thomson Equity One, at the conference as well.
Tierney says Thomson is planning for a decline in the market this year and that this "difficult market is likely to continue through 2003." He adds, "The sell side is particularly weak."
