Thomson Hires Lehman for IM

ORGANIZATION AND STRATEGY

Thomson Financial has named Microsoft's securities industry architect Jeremy Lehman to be senior vice president of software development in its Investment Management group. Lehman, who will help the company implement Web services into its products, will initially focus on Thomson Connect, a new instant messaging and connectivity platform, and First Call Analyst, an analytics platform for the buy side.

Thomson Connect will be launched as a stand-alone product in the next few months, says COO Sharon
