NZX Sees Ups and Downs in 1st Half

New Zealand Stock Exchange's (NZX) market information services revenue has decreased in the first six months of the year, officials said last week, although they claim that demand for the exchange's data has actually risen.

Revenue from market data was down to about NZ$960,000 (US$560,000) in the first six months of this year from NZ$1,060,000 (US$620,000) in the second half of 2002.

NZX officials say the decrease is largely attributed to changes in the exchange's method for calculating market
