Creation of Standard for XML-Based Delivery of Market Data in Progress

LONDON--A definitive standard for the delivery of market data through the Extensible Markup Language is getting closer to becoming a reality, with the consultation stage for the Market Data Markup Language due to end shortly.

The schema for MDML has been in the public domain since late last year, through the Biztalk XML forum run by Microsoft. Bridge Information Systems, the driving force behind MDML, is meeting with Microsoft next month to discuss the next stages in the project.
