Lipper Aims for Intermediary Market


NEWYORK--Lipper is expanding Lipper Leaders and launching a number of new products this year, including an active index service, in an effort to penetrate the intermediary market of brokers and financial advisors.

Lipper’s goal is to move from "an information-based to a knowledge-based company," says Robin Thurston, global director of research, media and marketing.

Initiatives include Holdings-Based Indexes (HBI), which went live on Jan. 1 on Factset’s Portfolio Analysis Module, a performance
