Nasdaq Taps Xignite for On-Demand Data
Nasdaq OMX has enlisted on-demand data vendor Xignite to build a Nasdaq-branded portal for clients to download small or large amounts of historical market data for back-testing trading algorithms and strategies without the costs of subscribing to and databasing the data from real-time feeds.
The data will comprise Level 1 trade-and-quote tick data from Nasdaq, the New York Stock Exchange and regional exchanges, and will allow clients to access data that was previously only part of other
