Nasdaq Splits Weightings From Index Data

Nasdaq OMX is changing its policy around how firms access underlying weightings data for its indexes, by establishing direct relationships with clients as the exchange looks to expand its index business and create new index families.

From next Monday, April 4, Nasdaq will no longer disseminate the index weightings information via its real-time Global Index Data Service and Nordic TotalView feeds, though the feeds will continue to include index values and high-level component information. Instead
