Specifically, think back to 2002, when investor relations data provider CCBN brought a similar lawsuit against Thomson Financial, which owned 10 percent in the vendor, alleging that Thomson stifled CCBN's business while creating its own product, FirstCall Events, that mimicked CCBN's StreetEvents database (IMD, Aug. 5, 2002).
