MDI 2000 Report Unveiled: Global Revenues Up 13 Percent

NEW YORK--Risk Waters Group’s MDI: The Market Data Industry (www.watersinfo.com) has just issued its comprehensive overview of 2000 revenues and screen counts. The study also contains a five-year history of data from 1996 through 2000. Global revenues in 2000 rose an estimated 13 percent to $7.2 billion from $6.4 billion in 1999.

Estimated revenue from equities rose an estimated 11 percent from $2.8 billion to $3.1 billion, representing 43 percent of global revenues. Fixed income related revenues
