Thomson Reuters Opens RIC Code

Thomson Reuters is making its Reuters Instrument Codes (RICs) available beyond its own desktops and feeds, with the BATS Chi-X Europe exchange as the first announced user of the codes, which identify financial instruments and indexes.

"This is a fundamental shift, in that we're now saying that essentially within pricing and reference data – non-real-time data – you can use the RIC to access and navigate to any information or source," says Jason du Preez, global business manager, enterprise

Only users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
