The managed services vendor has added to its network of partners and direct sales operations in Asia to meet market demands in the region
Software and managed services vendor SmartStream Technologies has partnered with Serisys, an Asian IT services provider, to increase distribution of its reference data managed services in China, Japan and South-east Asia.
SmartStream has been active in the region for more than 20 years and has more than 100 clients across Asia. However, by working with Serisys, which is based in Hong Kong and has offices in Shanghai, Tokyo, Singapore and Bangkok, the vendor hopes to increase distribution of its reference data managed services, which include data normalization, cleansing and enrichment of securities masters.
"Serisys has an excellent knowledge of the regional market and their leadership team has a long track record of working in, and with, major financial institutions in Asia, where they have developed strong customer relationships," says Philippe Chambadal, SmartStream's CEO.
He continues: "SmartStream already has direct sales operations in China, Japan, Singapore and Australia, and partners throughout Asia. As the financial markets are evolving and growing at such a fast pace, we need to continue to develop and expand our partnerships to meet the market demand."
Chambadal says that as the relationship between the two companies develops, they will consider working together on the distribution of SmartStream's other services.
