In acquiring Camra Consulting, which provides benchmark information on UK retail funds, Reuters is beefing up the buy-side oriented funds service unit it created last summer after it purchased Lipper Analytical Services last summer (Inside Market Data, July 27, 1998). At the same time that Reuters announced the deal for Camra, the company also completed its previously announced purchase of the investment trust data business from BT Alex.
