Richard Balarkas' voice has been a familiar one in the European securities trading industry for a long time. In his 14 years at Credit Suisse, Balarkas drove the evolution of algorithmic trading and was the most vocal proponent of the bank's Advanced Execution Services (AES), of which he was global head of sales. AES is widely regarded as one of the most sophisticated algorithmic trading toolsets available on the market today; a fact that is due in no small part to Balarkas.
