French broker Newedge has recently appointed Jean-Luc Savignac COO of its Americas business. Most recently, Savignac was project leader for the internal team overseeing the integration between Calyon Financial and Fimat, which merged to form Newedge earlier this year (DWT, Jan. 7). In his new role, Savignac will be responsible for operations, information technology, risk, business logistics and the project management office. He replaces Tom Kloet, who has left to become CEO of
