REUTERS NAMES NEW CTO

Roy Lowrence

has been appointed chief technology officer (CTO) at Reuters as of March 2. He is replacing Barry Woodward, the acting CTO after the departure of James Powell last year (DWT, July 11, 2005). Woodward will leave Reuters over the next two months for a position with EDS as its vice president, global service delivery, applications, say EDS and Reuters officials. Lowrence will now report to Tom Glocer, Reuters' CEO, and will simplify Reuters' technology as well as
