TMX SLASHES WORKFORCE
As part of the consolidation of the TSX Group and the Montreal Exchange (MX), exchange operator TMX Group will eliminate 10 percent of its staff, a total of 85 corporate support and operational positions. However, TMX Group plans to add 30 "highly skilled" jobs in clearing, technology application development and product and services development in the MX office in Montreal, say officials.
