SMARTSTREAM REVAMPS
Martin Brown is resigning as the CEO of SmartStream Technologies to pursue other business interests, company officials announced last week. The move comes after TA Associates completed its buyout of SmartStream from private equity firm 3i. The firm invested in SmartStream in 2003, backing the acquisitions of Connextive and Effective Solutions and helping to form SmartStream's business strategy, according to 3i officials.
