Activ Hires Three
Activ Financial has made three new hires in response to business growth. Benjamin Dane joins as client services representative, having worked at ILX Systems and A-T Financial (both now part of Thomson Financial). Pedro Castelli joins the vendor as senior engineer in network operations, after previous roles in Thomson's data collections group and also at A-T Financial. Activ has also hired Vassil Strachnikov to provide technical support and product management for software vendors. Dane and Castelli are based in New York, while Strachnikov is based in Chicago.
Royalblue Goes Green
UK data and trading systems vendor Royalblue has hired Kellie Green as client services manager for the vendor's Fidessa Workstation product, responsible for expanding the number of buy-side users of the workstations execution tools. She reports to Simon McDowell, director of execution services. She joins from rival Knowledge Technology Solutions, where she was head of client services.
Woodruff on Red Alert
Jeffrey Woodruff
, former manager of hedge fund services at Reuters, has moved from London to New York and joined research management software vendor Code Red as managing director of sales and marketing. Code Red's software, Red Alerts, collects and stores research and provides context and relevance. Woodruff joined Reuters in 2001 when the vendor bought parts of the former Bridge Information Systems, where he had been president of Internet services.Martin Replaces Miller at Informa
Informa Global Markets last month appointed Ken Martin as senior vice president and director of sales and marketing for the Americas. He replaces Jay Miller, who has departed the company after 24 years and is looking for a new role elsewhere. Martin has been at Infor ma for five years as senior sales executive. He reports to global sales director John Peck, who joined Infor ma earlier this year (IMD, Jan. 30).
IS.Teledata Makes Changes Post Acquisition
Following its purchase by Interactive Data Corp., IS.Teledata has named Stephan Wolf chairman of the German data vendor's executive board, responsible for developing strategy and managing day-to-day operations, and reporting to Mark Hepsworth, chairman of the supervisory board and president of Interactive Data's ComStock division. Wolf was previously spokes man of the executive board and managing director of IS Innovative Software. Carsten Dirks, previously senior vice president of corporate solutions, has been appointed chief sales officer and a member of the executive board.
Robijn Heads GL in Holland
French market data and trading systems vendor GL Trade has appointed Herbert Robijn managing director of its Amsterdam office, where he will develop the vendor's cross-asset business in Holland and oversee global development of the GL Rubyx trading system. He is the founder of Iris Group, a Dutch market-making trading technology provider that GL Trade acquired in 2004, and then became vice president for development of the Options Market Making and Prop Trading product range. He will manage the office's 25 sales, support and development staff.
MNI Moves Carter
John Carter
has been appointed head of operations for Asia at Market News International, based in Beijing.
