Rastin Fills Gap at Ecovision

Swedish vendor Ecovision has appointed Per Rastin as its new managing director following the departure of founder Paul Östling. Rastin, a 16 year-veteran of the company, was previously deputy managing director. A replacement for Rastin's role has yet to be announced. Rastin is based in Gothenburg and reports to the Ecovision board and chairman Jan-Olof Dahlén.

S&P Indexes Hires Moloney

Standard & Poor's Index Services has appointed Donna Moloney to the newly created role of marketing director for Europe, responsible for developing new international and custom index solutions. She joins from index provider Stoxx, where she spent six years as regional director responsible for business development and sales. Based in London, she reports to John Davies, senior director of market development and institutional clients.

Virt-x Hires Former Thomson Staff

London-based equity exchange Virt-x, a subsidiary of the SWX Swiss Exchange, has hired Rachel Ellis and Julian Butterworth as relationship manager and market relations and sales manager, respectively. Ellis was previously a service manager for strategic accounts at Thomson Financial, prior to which she worked on the Exshare product at FT Interactive Data. Butterworth joins from SunGard, where he was responsible for sales of trading and risk systems, prior to which he was a sales manager at Thomson. At Virt-x, both report to Patricia Lynch, market relations and sales director.

Pyxis Creates CFO Role

Wireless data software provider Pyxis Mobile has appointed Victor Pierni to the role of chief financial officer, a newly created position. He joins from order management system provider Macgregor, where he was also CFO. Based at Pyxis' headquarters in Waltham, Mass., he reports to CEO Shane Hughes.
