UK data industry association Ipug has elected Graham Downie as its group chairman. Downie, currently head of information services at Standard Life Investments, replaces Hardeep Rai, who served in the role since June 2007 and recently joined private equity firm Bayonet Ventures after leaving fund manager Gartmore. Rai will continue to serve on Ipug's executive committee.
