A recent reorganization at Dow Jones & Co. has for the first time left Dow Jones Telerate's news operations reporting directly to an editorial chief from Dow Jones proper. In the reorg, the vendor created a new position -- editor of news services -- and filled it with Jim Furlong, who was previously managing editor of Dow Jones' AP-Dow Jones and Capital Markets Report (CMR) newswires. The move stands as yet another in a series of measures aimed at drawing Telerate's and Dow Jones' news services
