John Fontaine, executive vice president of Knight-Ridder Inc., has been elected to the company's board of directors. Patrick Tierney, a vice president of the company who was recently given oversight responsibility for Knight-Ridder Financial--KRF president Paul Tucker now reports to Tierney (IMD, June 19)--himself reports directly to Fontaine.
Meanwhile, at Knight-Ridder Financial, Jose Pecache, vice president, systems and development, has resigned. Pecache reported to KRF president Paul Tucker
