CME Calls On St. George
Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) has hired Timothy St. George for the newly created position of associate director, information products management. St. George, who directed international sales at vendors HyperFeed Technologies and FutureSource, is in charge of managing the global sales of CME’s value-added information product line as well as developing new information products and services for the exchange’s institutional customers. St. George joined CME at the beginning of the year and reports to Glen Madeja, director, information products management.
Johnson Gets Permanent Role at Xenomorph
Data management software vendor Xenomorph has appointed Greg Johnson director of sales and marketing, reporting to CEO Brian Sentence. Johnson has been working with the vendor since last year as a marketing consultant, after leaving his role as sales and marketing director at French Independent Software Vendor GL Trade in London at the start of last year.
Xcitek Shakes Up Its Staff
Xcitek, a New York-based provider of corporate actions solutions, has continued to expand and reorganize its staff in an effort to grow its business. Richard Bustard has joined as XSPproduct specialist and will be based in the company’s London office, where he will report to Nick Burgess, director of European operations. Bustard joins from London-based STP vendor One-Ten, where he was a senior sales executive. In addition, there have been several promotions. Richard Yosua, previously director of data sales, has been named to the newly created role of director of third-party sales. Meanwhile, Mick Coffey, previously XSP product specialist, is now director of XSP product support for North America, responsible for providing all sales support and product expertise for the company’s XSP software solution. Tom O’Brien, who was a product manager, has been promoted to director of Internet products. Additional hires are also planned in the data product support division, which is led by Catalina Gonzalez, director of data product support. The changes follow the promotions of John Kehoe to senior sales executive and Craig Schachter to head of global sales and the hire of Ronnie Bradford as marketing executive (IMD, Jan. 5).
Kirby Joins SmartStream
Tony Kirby
, former head of global STP for Reuters and reference data specialist, is joining STP software vendor SmartStream Technologies as director of market management in February, only six months after taking on the role of head of the STP design unit at Deutsche Börse (IMD, June 30, 2003). Kirby, who will report to SmartStream CEO Martin Brown, will lead strategic marketing, forge industry partnerships and work with the management team on corporate activity.UK Sales Shuffle at CSK
Frankfurt-based market data and trading room software vendor CSK Software has reshuffled its senior UK sales staff. Ken Cordery, formerly business development manager, moves from sales development to head the UK sales team, with overall responsibility for product sales and client relationship strategy in the UK. Senior principal consultant Stephen Kell, who joined the vendor in 2002 as head of UK business development, takes on group responsibility for CSK’s relationship with Swift.
Correction
Prior to his former role at IS Teledata, Seyfi Guenay, the new senior buyer for information services at WestLB, was market data manager at Dresdner Bank, not Deutsche Bank as reported in last week’s edition of IMD.
