REUTERS GROUP CEO PETER JOB RETIRES

Peter Job, 59, is retiring as chief executive officer of Reuters Group after ten years in that slot. He joined Reuters as a journalist in 1963 and served as a correspondent in Paris, New Delhi, Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta. From 1978 until 1991, Job headed the company's business in Asia until he was named chief executive in 1991, succeeding Glen Renfrew.
