Abe Hirsch has joined Westboro, Mass.-based Applix Inc. as vice president of marketing. Hirsch, who previously held the same position with I-Kinetics in Burlington, Mass., replaces Tom Axbey, who left Applix earlier this year.
John Sullivan, deputy general manager for British Telecommunications PLC, has become BT North America Inc.'s sales director in charge of trading room turrets. Sullivan is a 26-year veteran of BT and had been in charge of turret sales in the United Kingdom for nine years
