Almost a year ago Bridge lost its great techie hope of a UK managing director, Chip Steinmetz, to a Disney-related Internet start-up company, Go.com. Disney recently folded its Go.com portal, axing 400 staff and writing off around $800 million. Disney has abandoned Go.com as a separate Internet division, rolling it back into plain old Disney shares, and it is considering whether to sell off the software and traffic from Go.com.
