News has emerged as to the new occupations of two high- ranking technology executives from Salomon Brothers Inc. who opted to part ways with the investment bank in recent weeks -- and both have taken positions that will involve them at least as much with buy-side applications as with the sell-side systems on which they have lately based their careers. Russell Lewis, vice president in charge of equities and derivatives trading technology at Salomon, has taken a post as chief information officer
