Idea Hires Telerate's Peck To Run Asia, After Attrition Shuts HK, Tokyo Offices

Analytical commentary provider I.D.E.A. reopened its Hong Kong office last month with the hire of a new managing director, Nicky Peck, who was most recently regional business manager at Dow Jones Telerate. Peck now faces the task of rebuilding the vendor's presence in the region, which has dwindled as Idea's entire staff in Hong Kong and Tokyo left for a variety of other jobs.

Peck says he hopes to recruit a total of 23 new staff within the next year. He will be headquartered in Idea's Hong Kong
