NYMEX PICKS SAM GAER AS CIO
Sam Gaer
, founder and CEO of trading software developer TradinGear, has been appointed chief information officer (CIO) of the New York Mercantile Exchange (Nymex). This follows Nymex’s acquisition of TradinGear’s assets, which caused speculation about the Gaer appointment in January (TTW, January 20). Gaer replaces vice president of software development Sean Carrington, who had been serving as acting CIO since the first half of last year after the departure of DavidOnly users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
