Cristobal Conde has been promoted by Sungard Data Systems from executive vice president to chief operating officer (COO), as well as receiving a seat on the board of directors. Conde joined the company after Sungard's acquisition of Devon Systems International, of which Conde was a co-founder. At Sungard, Conde started the Trading Systems division, which he expanded to encompass a staff numbering more than 2,000.
