LSE ANNOUNCES GIBSON-SMITH AS CRUICKSHANK SUCCESSOR

London Stock Exchange (LSE) officials announced last week that LSE chairman Don Cruickshank will be replaced by Dr. Chris Gibson-Smith, currently chairman of NATS, the troubled UK air traffic control authority. Cruickshank is to leave his role when his term of office ends in July. Gibson-Smith is also a non-executive director of the Lloyds TSB banking group. He joined NATS in 2001 after 21 years with UK oil company BP.
