Doug Atkin
, former CEO of Instinet, has resigned from his position as non-executive director of Virt-x, the European blue-chip electronic exchange. Virt-x says Atkin's role was to represent Instinet within the Virt-x consortium--for which he waived the £10,529 non-executive directors' fee for the nine months to the end of last year--was no longer required, since he left Instinet. Atkin is on the board of directors of ClickIQ, a market-research firm. Atkin could not beOnly users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
