Commonwealth Bank Of Australia To Consolidate Sydney Trading Floors

SYDNEY--Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) plans to consolidate its Sydney trading floors into two buildings, a year from now. The trading floor merger is part of a larger effort to consolidate institutional banking operations by March 1999.

Bruce Lee, the CBA's executive manager for logistics in institutional banking, says the institutional banking division will be streamlined under two roofs in Sydney's business district. This section of the bank includes market related activities such as CBA
