Start-up Gissing Tech Changes Name to MDX Technology

Data technology start-up Gissing Technology has changed its name to MDX Technology to avoid any confusion between the new operation and Thomson Reuters' Gissing Software subsidiary, and to better reflect the new products that it plans to provide, officials say.

Gissing Technology was formed earlier this summer by three veterans of Gissing Software, the data contributions vendor founded by Richard Gissing, which Thomson Reuters acquired in 2008 (IMD, June 28).
