Cangemi to Chair STA
Joseph Cangemi, co-head of equity sales and execution for ConvergEx’s global electronic operations, will assume the chairmanship of the Security Traders Association (STA) trade group for 2011.
Cangemi currently serves as vice chairman at the STA, and first joined the group’s board of governors in 2006.
He co-founded direct access floor brokerage Francis P. Maglio & Co. in 1983, and served as head trader and COO until the firm’s acquisition by ConvergEx in 2002. W
