January: Larry Joyce joined Thomson Reuters as sales specialist for its Lipper funds databases, after AOL disbanded news aggregator Relegence Latency monitoring software vendor SeaNet Technologies promoted Raymond Marra to president and chief executive, replacing founder Bernie Davidovics, who remains chief technology officer.

February: Barclays Capital data executives Mary Langevin, Tere Duff and Bill Mangan all moved to pastures new, with Langevin and Duff taking roles at Nomura and Mangan
