CFN Offers Spread Ethernet Wave NY–Chicago Link

Network provider CFN Services has inked a deal to re-sell Spread Networks’ low-latency Ethernet Wave service between New York and Chicago, providing CFN with the lowest latency connectivity between the two market centers and opening up Spread’s services to a wider audience, officials say.

Spread—which last year unveiled a proprietary dark fiber route between New Jersey datacenters and Chicago with roundtrip latency of 13.33 milliseconds—recently lowered the latency of its wave service to 14.6
