It would be naïve to think that sexism doesn’t exist in the financial services industry—the numbers speak for themselves. Perhaps there is a certain level of expectation that arises when it comes to sexism, or perhaps it’s more a case of simply not giving a damn.
Susan Certoma, former CIO of Wachovia, says that regardless of your view of sexism, it’s important not to play the role of victim, which is something that former GE chairman Jack Welch has also preached.
