Financial Industry Faces Up to Cybersecurity Challenges

On the morning of July 18, 2013, the market infrastructure of the US came under sustained attack through cyberspace. Over 50 organizations, including investment banks, exchanges, regulators and the Department of Homeland Security scrambled to protect routes into the system that were open to the internet, while internal incident response plans kicked in.
