Thomson Reuters Unveils Benchmark Rates Subsidiary

The first benchmark that TRBS will calculate is the Libor (London Interbank Offered Rate) lending rate, which is administered by ICE Benchmark Administration (formerly NYSE Euronext Rate Administration, prior to NYSE’s purchase by IntercontinentalExchange), which took over the role from the British Bankers Association. This is because Libor is the first benchmark to be governed by a new set of principles created by the International Organization of Securities Commissions to guard against rate
