S&P CapIQ Taps Fitch's Smith to Head New Credit Data-Ratings Biz

Smith was most recently managing director and global head of products at Fitch Solutions, the data and analytics sales business of ratings agency Fitch, prior to which he was a managing director at BNY Mellon, and held roles including senior investment officer and head of credit at Citibank Alternative Investments.

Smith will be responsible for a staff of about 120 people in several countries, operating separately from other S&P businesses, and reports to Lou Eccleston, president of S&P Capital
