Bowles Joins LSEG Board

Sharon Bowles has joined the London Stock Exchange Group board in a non-executive capacity.

Bowles, currently a Liberal Democrat politician, was a member of the European Parliament from 2005-2014, working on the Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON) and the Legal Affairs committees.

Before joining the European parliament, she worked as a European patent attorney. During her career as an MEP, Bowles played a role in shaping European policy impacting the financial sector's regulations involving the review of the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (Mifid II).
