Asian Exchanges Report Mixed Data Fortunes
Exchanges across the Asia-Pacific region reported results, including revenues from market data.
Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing profits leaped from HK$2.3 billion ($296.8 million) to HK$2.8 billion ($361.3 million) over the same quarter last year. HKEx said profits benefited from a hike in trading fees in January on the London Metal Exchange, which it acquired in 2012. The exchange also saw increased revenue from higher trading fees resulting from a 17 percent growth in average daily turnover value of equity products.
